A Timeless Black & White Celebration at Wychmere Beach Club

Nestled in the heart of Harwich Port, MA, Wychmere Beach Club is the kind of coastal venue dreams are made of—and Allie + Jake’s wedding was no exception. Having gotten married at Wychmere myself, I know just how magical this venue is, so designing their invitations and day-of paper goods was such a full-circle moment.

Their wedding was styled in a timeless black and white palette, which brought a modern, sophisticated edge to every detail—from the stationery to the overall atmosphere. I was honored to help bring their vision to life through cohesive, design-forward pieces that complemented the setting beautifully.

From their wedding invitations to their menus, welcome sign, table numbers, custom cocktail napkins, and bar signs, every piece was thoughtfully crafted to reflect the couple’s style and the relaxed luxury of their oceanfront setting.

Modern Invitations with a Minimalist Edge

We started with a custom invitation suite that reflected their monochrome aesthetic—clean typography, a custom embossed monogram, and subtle textural contrast created a look that felt both bold and understated. With its classic contrast, the black and white color scheme highlighted the beauty of the design and set the tone for an elevated, sophisticated celebration.

The invitation pieces were both digitally and white-ink printed on our signature white cardstock, paired with sleek black envelopes and white-ink addressing—a crisp, polished look that set the tone from the very first impression.

Monochrome Wedding Day Details with Personalized Touches

When the wedding day arrived, every detail came together beautifully. Guests were welcomed with a custom acrylic welcome sign that set the tone—elegant, inviting, and thoughtfully designed to reflect the couple’s style.

After a beautiful ceremony, it was time for cocktail hour! At the bar, more custom acrylic signature drink and cards & gifts signs along with custom “fun facts” napkins added a playful, personal touch. Though small in scale, these finishing details made a lasting impression—tying everything together in a cohesive, elevated way.

Inside the reception space, guests were able to find their seats on their custom built escort card board. Many guests were from out of state, so the bride had the idea of putting each guests corresponding state with their escort card. Personalized menus were placed at each setting, complementing the tablescape while guiding guests through the evening’s meal. Coordinating acrylic table numbers echoed the same clean typography and monochrome palette, creating a seamless visual thread.

Designing for Allie + Jake was such a joy from start to finish. Their vision was clear, their style effortlessly elegant, and every detail of their day reflected the love they share. It was an honor to play a small part in such a meaningful celebration at one of my favorite places. A beautiful day for a truly beautiful couple—I’ll be smiling about this one for a long time.
